Computing

We promote cultural development in Computing by:

  • Compare and contrast significant individuals in computing across each topic.

  • Applying their computing skills enables children to gain knowledge of how programming links between subjects and in real life experiences.

  • Children develop the understand of how developments in technology have changed our culture. e.g in the rise in social networking sites and the ability to communicate instantly. (British Value: Mutual Respect and Tolerance)

  • Children develop the understanding of communicating with children from different countries using computing to break down linguistic barriers (Tanzania, Bangladesh, European Christmas project, new starters). (British Value: Mutual Respect and Tolerance)
