In History we promote spirituality by: 

• Discussing why events in the past have happened, considering their many causes.
• Understanding cause and effect - that events in history could have happened in different ways and had different consequences. (British Value: Individual liberty)
• Understanding the different historical interpretations around different events and being able to discuss why this is. (British Value: Mutual Respect and Tolerance)
• How the use of sources and artefacts can really help us understand what it must have been like to live in a particular time period. Sharing and listening to other's ideas.
• Children learn the values and take interest in other's opinions through debates and discussions. (British Value: Democracy)
• Giving opportunities for children to reflective about their own beliefs and how these developed throughout history. (British Value: Individual liberty)
